The NH Research 4760-3 DC Electronic Load is a 3 kW device used to test and simulate complex load profiles in power conversion and storage equipment such DC power supplies, telecom rectifiers, and battery packs. This device can be used as a standalone benchtop setup or in an automated test station, providing versatility for a range of uses. It works especially well for testing that requires thorough internal measurements and quick transient simulation.

This DC electronic load can accommodate voltage ranges of 7.0 to 600V and current levels of up to 150A. Its maximum power capacity is 3 kW. This compact yet potent instrument is ideal for demanding testing settings. Its enclosure measures 267x483x559 mm, and its weight is 75 lbs (34 kg). At 0.12% + 0.06% for current accuracy and 0.01% + 0.02% for voltage accuracy, the load exhibits exceptional resolution and precision. Exact measurement and control are guaranteed in a variety of applications by the device, which provides current ranges of 15A and 150A with matching voltage ranges of 20V, 200V, and 600V.

A 7-inch touch-panel GUI that offers an easy-to-use interface for monitoring and modifying parameters is available for manual control of the 4760-3. With six tabs for different functions, the GUI allows you to monitor voltage, current, power, and resistance even when operating remotely. Furthermore, manual adjustments to operating modes like constant voltage, constant current, constant resistance, and constant power are possible using the control tab. The capabilities for engineering characterization, debugging UUTs, and developing test programs are improved by an integrated scope that offers graphical representations of voltage and current relationships.

Through the use of stepped responses, variable slew rates, microsecond pulses, and the addition of an AC component to the DC waveform, the device may create and carry out complicated dynamic load profiles. Macros—which can have up to 100 stages that are carried out directly by the load for quick transitions—allow for these features.
